Access Ramp:  The access ramp is on Mill Creek.  The Kansas River is approximately 1 mile downstream.

Directions:  From I 70, take I 435 South to Holiday Drive (Exit 8A).  Go west on Holiday Drive.  Holiday Drive turns into Wilder Road after about ¾ of a mile and as it turns slightly northwest.  Continue on Wilder Road to the park.  The entrance is will be on your left.

Access Information:  The Mill Creek Streamway Park Kayak and Canoe Access is 1 mile upstream of the Kaw on Mill Creek.  This is a concrete stairway access suitable for canoes and kayaks only.  The stairway ends above the waterline when water levels are low.  It would be best to scout the stairway and riverbank before planning to take out at the park.

Amenities:  Restroom, trash cans, playground, walking trails, shelter, and ample parking.  The kayak and canoe takeout is located within a large, well-maintained park which is heavily used by area residents.  It is closed and the park gates are locked from dusk to dawn.  

Paddle Information:  The next point downstream is the WaterOne Low-Head Dam at river mile 15, just east of the I-435 bridge.  THIS IS A LOW-HEAD DAM AND YOU SHOULD NOT GO OVER IT IN ANY VESSEL.  ALL PORTAGE SHOULD BE DONE VIA LAND ON THE NORTH BANK (RIVER LEFT)The Turner Bridge Access Ramp is the next access point down river at river mile 9.

The mouth of Mill Creek is 1 mile downstream of the Edwardsville Access Ramp on river right.
