CLEANUP SCHEDULE

In 2026 Friends of the Kaw and our partners will host cleanups in four cities along the length of the Kansas River. Everyone is welcome to join us and be a part of our team of river stewards!

Saturday, April 18, 2026 – 12th Annual Kansas Riverbank Cleanup in Lawrence. Celebrate Earth Day on the banks of the Kansas River! Learn more and RSVP at www.bit.ly/2026LawrenceCleanup.

Saturday, April 25, 2026 – 3rd Annual Little Apple Cleanup in Manhattan. Join us to cleanup trash and litter along the Big Blue River in Manhattan. Learn more and RSVP at www.bit.ly/LittleAppleCleanup2026.

Tuesday, June 30, 2026 – 4th Annual Together Topeka Cleanup. Join us to clean up the Kansas Riverbank in downtown Topeka! NOTE: due to incliment weather, this event was rescheduled from Thursday, June 25, 2026. Learn more and RSVP at www.bit.ly/2026TogetherTopekaRSVP.

Saturday, September 12, 2026 – 3rd Annual One KC Cleanup in Kansas City, Kansas – It’s our biggest cleanup of the year! Join Friends of the Kaw and 300 of our closest friends to clean up the Kansas Riverbank at Kaw Point Park in Kansas City, KS!

NEW for Summer of 2026 – Join the Lawrence Watershed Cleanup Project! Sign up for a cleanup kit then host your own trash pick up anytime between July 9 and August 16, 2026!
