We are at it again!

Come join Friends of the Kaw to do a litter pickup as part of our Douglas County Cultural and Natural Heritage Grant! Wear sturdy shoes and bring your water bottle….we will have water, gloves, recycle bags and trash bags! Help us clean up the river trails and the area below Bowersock! Meet at the parking lot at 2nd and Locust in Lawrence at 6PM on Thursday, September 14, 2017!

GREAT KAW ADVENTURE RACE

Thank you to the Great Kaw Adventure Race (GKAR) for their generous donation of $1,000 from last year’s proceeds to benefit the Kansas River!  GKAR believes that the river is as important to our community as it is our race! This year Friends of the Kaw members receive a $20 PER PERSON discount for the race!
